You will still have to go to the mechanic for most repairs, but you will be able to tackle the small stuff by yourself. Most such courses teach attendees how to replace bulbs, fix wiper blades, change oil, replace bad tires, take care of minor dings, and many other jobs. All those things add up, so confronting some of the common repairs yourself will save you money and help you learn about your vehicle.
